Getting students to believe in the value of a growth mindset can be a classroom game changer. Students show increased perseverance, learn to value mistakes, and set goals for themselves that help them succeed. In your folder, you will receive a color version, black and white version, and a template for you to make your own addition to the collection! Check out the quotes I've included below to ensure this product will meet your needs. Mistakes are proof that you’re trying. -Cara Delevingne I haven’t failed, I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work. -Thomas Edison A person who has never made a mistake never tried anything new. -Albert Einstein Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better. -Maya Angelou I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes, then you are: making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. -Neil Gaiman Nothing is impossible. The word itself says “I’m Possible”. -Audrey Hepburn I’m never satisfied. I’m always trying to get better and learn from my mistakes. -Russell Westbrook There is a difference between knowing and not knowing yet! -Sheila Tobias It is impossible to live without failing at something unless you live so cautiously you might as well not have lived at all. In which case, you fail by default. -J.K. Rowling Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell and got up. -Nelson Mandela It’s not the absence of fear. It’s overcoming it. Sometimes you’ve got to blast through and have faith. -Emma Watson Anytime someone tells me I can’t do something, I want to do it more. -Taylor Swift I fall. I rise. I make mistakes. I live. I learn. I’ve been hurt but I’m stronger. I’m human. I’m not perfect but I’m thankful. -Will Smith The best way to guarantee a loss is to quit. -Morgan Freeman The greatest discovery of all time is that a person can change his future by merely changing their attitude. -Oprah Winfrey Let us make our futures now and let us make our dreams tomorrow’s reality. -Malala Yousafzai I am always doing what I can not do yet in order to learn how to do it. -Vincent Van Gogh If you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn, no one can stop you. -Zig Ziglar If at first you don’t succeed, you’re normal. -Kid President I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship. -Louisa May Alcott Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts. -Winston Churchil

Task Cards have become an increasingly popular addition to our classrooms, yet they can quickly become boring and lose student engagement. So, as an option to the worksheet-like drudgery which can come with the "cards" I have created these game boards to allow students to get the practice they need, while having fun with their classmates. This is a growing bundle which means that as I add more game boards to my collection, you will be able to download them for no additional cost. :) You can receive notifications when changes are made to these items by checking back frequently or following my store. THIS BUNDLE INCLUDES: Top of the Mountain-A 2 person race Bubble Race-Up to 4 person play. Very simple rules Terrific Tunnels-Up to 4 people. General Gameboard rules Powerful Portals-Up to 4 people. General Gameboard with a twist.

Discussion Starters for Collaborative Work

(0)
This product includes discussion starters and prompts to help students engage in meaningful conversations with their teammates as they do group projects and work together to solve problems. These were created with math in mind but could easily be utilized in any other subject area where students work together! I use these as reminders for my students by laminating them and taping them onto the tables or placing them inside acrylic displays at my collaborative stations. There are 8 different backgrounds and 2 styles. The pre-made product is wonderful for easy use and quick implementation while the blank templates allow students to brainstorm their own ideas and create a document which reflects their beliefs and values concerning group work. There are discussion starters for when your students are... "Just getting started" "When you want to share an idea" "When you need someone to explain their thinking" "When they disagree" "When they need to refocus" For example, when a student needs a friend to explain their thinking they might say... -Can you help me understand… -What did you mean when you said… -Can you tell me more about… -Can you explain how you… -Is there another way you could explain that? -Why did you choose this strategy? -How do you know you are right? Thank you so much for your consideration in this product! I hope it fits your needs and proves to be a helpful resource!
